Week 4: What do we have here - Nexus 9 review

This week we have to do a research on Nexus 9.

Personal Opinion

First thing I will start with the strongest side of the tablet – it’s NVIDIA Tegra K1 system chip – together with it’s Dual-core, 2.3 GHz Denver 64 bit processor it gives the user really great multi-tasking force. The Graphic Processor is Kepler DX1, it has 2048 system memory and Build-in Storage of 16 GB. With this I can say that Nexus 9 is quite strong tablet and from everything what I tried to run from the App store, I didn’t have problems with not even one game.

Of course if we can run the latest games in the Google App store, the next expected thing is the great display. The display is IPS LCD Multi-touch screen, big 8.9 inches, 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution and with its 16 777 216 colors it does actually gives us the opportunity to truly enjoy games, read easily presentations etc. Other features of display are light sensor and scratching-resistant glass (Corning Gorilla Glass 3).

For me personally the sizes of tablet are way too big* for taking it outside, but as I use it only at home it’s great. This lead us to other really nice part of the Nexus – its camera. Eight megapixels, LED, 1920x1080 (1080 HD) (30 fps) – this makes it able to make some great shots. Other features are BSI (Back-illuminated sensor), Autofocus, Touch to Focus and Panorama.

Now it comes to the thing I didn’t like in the Nexus. Battery dies really fast and you can’t really use it while charging.

And last but not least – operating system. Android 5.0 – quite good performance, beautiful design compared to the Kit-Kat, a lot smoother. Most of the older phones have a few performance issues with Android Lolipop, but Nexus 9 handles that easily so that’s not a problem.
