3D: Maze

The Maze is the first room after the path choosing. This is the path that leads to the more 'animal' way of the story. I really did put a lot of time and effort in this maze and i am quite proud of it. First of all, the wall itself is just a box. I added the stone texture and gave it a little bump from the texture options. After that i converted the box to editable polly and played with the "Inset", "Extrude" and the "Bevel" tools. It's quite easy to do, but a lot of work to make it look good.

What in my opinion gives the maze unique look are the vines. For example i will do one not on the maze to make it more visible. This is done by drawing a line. On initial type the checkbox for smooth should be clicked. After i draw the line, i went to modify type and added a sweep modifier. It will be some strange shape, so on "Built-in Section" should be checked on cyllinder.

What i did was to draw three different lines on the side of the wall. After that there was only one thing left to do - the leaves. The way to do that is to put an image of a leaf on 1x1 sized plane, convert to editable poly and delete all polygons that are not textured. And there i have my first leaf. Last part (and most annoying) is to place all of the leaves on the vines. In my case i ended up with 415 planes, so for the sake of optimization i had to remove half of them inside the unity project.

Below you can see the full maze and the picture i used for the pattern
